1. RISKS COVERED
This insurance covers all risks of loss of or damage to the subject-matter insured except as excluded. Includes theft, collision, overturning, fire, lightning, sea perils, handling accidents, and any external fortuitous cause.
2. GENERAL AVERAGE & SALVAGE
General average and salvage charges are covered under York-Antwerp Rules.
3. "BOTH TO BLAME COLLISION"
Extended indemnity as per standard collision clause.
4. EXCLUSIONS
- Wilful misconduct of Assured
- Ordinary leakage/wear & tear
- Insufficient packing by Assured
- Inherent vice
- Delay
- Insolvency of carrier
- Nuclear perils
5. UNSEAWORTHINESS
Excluded only if Assured privy to unseaworthiness at loading.
6. WAR EXCLUSION
War, civil war, capture, seizure (piracy excepted).
7. STRIKES EXCLUSION
Strikes, riots, civil commotions, terrorism excluded.
8. DURATION (W/W)
From warehouse at Via Giuseppe Tartini, 62, Torino until delivery or 60 days after discharge.
9. CLAIMS PROTOCOL
Immediate notice to claims@gastaldiint.com. Survey required. Documents: certificate, invoice, packing list, transport documents, delivery receipt, photos, survey report.
10. SUBROGATION & NOTICE OF CLAIM
The Assured shall take all measures to preserve rights against carriers. Any waiver of recourse without insurer consent may void coverage.
11. SPECIAL ENDORSEMENT – HIGH-VALUE ARTEFACTS
USD 1,300,000 insured value. Warranted professional handling, custom crating, shock-absorbent lining, climate-controlled transport.
12. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
Italian law. Exclusive jurisdiction: Courts of Genoa, Italy.
